Guest Speaker: Meet Cannon Hodge

Luxury social media consultant Cannon Hodge will be joining us at Fashion PR Con: NY taking place October 17-18.

With more than ten years working in luxury retail, Cannon created Bergdorf Goodman's social media program, expanding its reach to fourteen platforms and an audience exceeding four million followers. Following her time at Bergdorf, she initiated social media at Spring. She is now a consultant for luxury brands.

Cannon has been a guest speaker at Fashion PR Con before, and we learned so much from her that we had to have her come back a second time!

Don't miss invaluable information from Cannon. Register now for our October workshop! Save $100 if you purchase before September 11.

Meet our guest speaker, Alexis Rodriguez!

Alexis Rodriguez has more than twelve years’ experience in public relations and brand development within the beauty and fashion industries combined.  She began her career with DNA Public Relations, a small boutique beauty PR firm specializing in independent and emerging beauty brands.  Two years later, Rodriguez joined a global brand team at Ketchum Public Relations, expanding her client base from beauty to consumer, lifestyle, food, and healthcare.  Rodriguez left Ketchum in 2002 to join Tractenberg & Co. where she worked with a number of well-known beauty brands including Stila, Sephora, MD Skincare, and Kate Spade Beauty.

In 2003, Rodriguez was hired as the in-house PR Manager for Diane von Furstenberg Beauty and launched the line alongside the legendary designer in August 2003.  In 2005, she was promoted to Director of Public Relations at DVF, overseeing global communications strategies in 12 countries including the US, UK, Italy, France, China, and Russia.  After five years at DVF, Rodriguez married her backgrounds in beauty and fashion with a move in-house to LVMH, Inc. to oversee Public Relations in North America for Parfums Givenchy and Pucci Fragrance.

Currently, Rodriguez is the Executive Director of Global Communications for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, overseeing the implementation and execution of PR initiatives in North America on behalf of Bobbi Brown, the woman and the brand.

When Rodriguez is not working, she spends her time mentoring young aspiring publicists via her blog The PR Closet, an advice column focused on how to break into beauty and/or fashion PR.  Rodriguez lives in New York City with her husband, James Alvich, and Cavapoo Hendrix.

We are very excited to have her part of of the team!
